Final Call: PM Gillard 77 Rudd 25

No bull, no guessing – we are the Dolphins – The Finnigans (The beautiful photos were done by @GeorgeBludger) - Michelle Rowland will not vote tomorrow, so the total will be: 102, not 103.

Our final count of the publicly declared support: PM Gillard 61 Rudd 19 with 22 Known Unknown. The question is how will the Unknowns break. Sportsbet is reporting the odds of PM Gillard $1.11 Rudd $6.25. Based on that we took the conservative approach and say the Unknowns will be break 70:30 to PM Gillard’s favour. This will give PM Gillard additional 16 votes to 77 and Rudd 6 votes to 25. That is our final call: 77 to 25

Barrie Cassidy interviewed. Talk turns to allegations of leaking to journos.

Cassidy says, wtte, “Never in the history of the known world has a politician released journos from confidences about discussions had – and JG did.”

Cassidy says: There has not been one story written by any journo of JG indiscretion.

Cassidy says: Rudd wants to retain confidentiality.

And that’s it. Full stop. Endo. Presenter doesn’t say – “But, hey, Barrie, you wrote a story about it. And one of our own has been outed.”

    Talk about protect your own!

    Interview moved on . . .

I wouldn’t be suprised if Arbib and Feeney are at the entrance offering to fill out the voting cards on behalf of caucus members.  Seriously what kind of world do the ALP operate in that the concept of a secret ballot is not a standard practice.  These standover merchant tactics are exactly what the public are sick and tired of.

No, they don’t show their vote to a faction leader.

Each MP looks at the vote cast by his colleague before placing it in the ballot box.

It’s a way of controlling how MPs vote.  It’s called factionalism.

    ru  is that right.

  46. rnm1953

It would be nice to get more posters here. There are some great posters over at PB, but there are others who are currently making the place unbearable. I am all for different views, but some of those posters just do you head in!!!!!

  47. whats the story on simkin,

    back later

  48. My say

The people of Qld are the same as everywhere else some like Kevin some don’t . The more important thing is that almost every Qld member of caucus will not vote for him.

  49. Hi Everyone,

Like My Say and Victoria I’ve had enough of the awful hosting at Crikey (they want money for this?!) and the constant mindless trolling. Good to see some familiar names.

  50. Simpleton is now reporting on Their ABC24 – he now reports through Rudd’s mouth.
