Final Call: PM Gillard 77 Rudd 25

No bull, no guessing – we are the Dolphins – The Finnigans (The beautiful photos were done by @GeorgeBludger) - Michelle Rowland will not vote tomorrow, so the total will be: 102, not 103.

Our final count of the publicly declared support: PM Gillard 61 Rudd 19 with 22 Known Unknown. The question is how will the Unknowns break. Sportsbet is reporting the odds of PM Gillard $1.11 Rudd $6.25. Based on that we took the conservative approach and say the Unknowns will be break 70:30 to PM Gillard’s favour. This will give PM Gillard additional 16 votes to 77 and Rudd 6 votes to 25. That is our final call: 77 to 25

  1. Of course Bandt, O and Windsor will not oblige. Not sure about the other indies though

  2. Abbott seems to think that a ‘formal request’ is an actual thing.

  3. “1 vote margin Abbott” is talking about leadership ballots???

Come the Ides of March Tony…

  4. *I should add that the biggest level of support in a leadership challenge in Australian history, since many leaders were elected unopposed.

  5. “Serious problems with Fair Work Act”, yeah Tony, want some more rope?

    And Tone walks.

  6. doyaevta

Perhaps it will be on abc 24 later or replayed on Sky multiview

  7. ABCnews24 commentator asks why wtte if Abbott is correct and this is a fork up of a gov’t why are  Abbott’s numbers in the toilet?

  8. Hello people.

My first post here, PB being down with something and in any event full of what looks awfully like Libtard Enforcers these days. (They’re a bit like the Men In Black, but without the sense of humour).

Very pleased the PM saw-off Rudd by such a comfortable majority. The support of less than a third of caucus is, I think, the end for him so far as any hope of getting back into the Big Seat is concerned. Naturally, the Meeja Commentariat is talking-up instability in the ALP, but they’ve gotta justify their jobs somehow, I suppose. That sort of talk will fade as the Government gets-on with what it does best: Running the show competently and delivering good policy.

As for Annabel Crabbe complaining the the PM is being ‘short’ with her, after the shabby treatment she’s received at the hands of the MSM over the last 18 months, Crabbe and her compadres ought to be grateful the PM talks to them at all. Prsonally, if I’d been Gillard, I’d have told them to sod-off and grow-up a bit before coming back, long ago.

Looking forward to QT this afternoon, it should be a beaut. I reckon at least 5 of the rabble will be booted.

  9. hahaha on abcnews24

“Tony Abbott needsa Great Big New Slogan.”  wtte Where are the policies?

  10. puffy

    Was Abbott asked about that?

  11. Now its time to fight the Tories.

  12. No, it was panel discusion afterwards. He cut and ran before anyone could say Workchoices.

  13. Thanks puffy

  14. Robb gone. Abbott will get no joy from QT today, Gillard is on on fire. Parliament staff stand by with fire extinguishers.

  15. Gillard was smiling while eviscerating Abbott on his supplementary question. She is on fire.

One assume Robb deliberately got himself kicked out to count numbers

  16. Slipper should leave the jokes out and just stay as schoolmaster, which he does much better

  17. the :p,anelist  with the glsses”’es,, gee he was good  bet he is not from the  ipa

  18. One of the great things about Rudd’s self – immolation is that he can no longer be asked questions in QT. no more long winded answers avoiding direct support for the PM which are analysed to the nth degree for the vaguest hint that a challenge is on.

  19. i noticed albo   talking  to her  ,, maay be checking   facts

  20. Julia is on fire. She’s smashing them in QT

  21. Arbib has resigned as a Minister and a Senator EH?.
