Final Call: PM Gillard 77 Rudd 25
No bull, no guessing – we are the Dolphins – The Finnigans (The beautiful photos were done by @GeorgeBludger) - Michelle Rowland will not vote tomorrow, so the total will be: 102, not 103.
Our final count of the publicly declared support: PM Gillard 61 Rudd 19 with 22 Known Unknown. The question is how will the Unknowns break. Sportsbet is reporting the odds of PM Gillard $1.11 Rudd $6.25. Based on that we took the conservative approach and say the Unknowns will be break 70:30 to PM Gillard’s favour. This will give PM Gillard additional 16 votes to 77 and Rudd 6 votes to 25. That is our final call: 77 to 25

Now the other place is down altogether. BB could be right about a DOS attack.
Returning Officers made it clear genuine secret ballot, MPs voting in private, why it took so long #respill #auspol

Nowhere for the Rudd supporters to hide on this one. Resounding win for the PM
Suddenly the journos are talking “unity”.
Amazing wankers. They amplified a few background whinges from Rudd and got what they wanted.
AND FOR WHAT?
PBis the major progressive blog (in terms of commenters) which is why I am still there as well s here. The right would love to turn it off. DOS at a critical time to make everyone pissed off would make sense. The Tea Party bastards would do that.
Harcher on Shy with long face spattered with rotten egg.
Credibility Nil.
sbs was good the reporter karen middiddleton was quite good
The tea party nutters try to split the progressives and turn them against each other., and ehaust the progressive’sresources.
puff stay here then
its not 4 atgy bargy here but thats good.’
Actually, how many times has Pollbludger gone down at critical, in political terms, times? I seem to remember a few. I am getting suspicious!
people over there can yell all they like this was not a presendential race, ,’the mps decide, so
Is there QT today?
The Sky coverage is also on APAC – not sure if APAC is free to air.
Probably not.
puff i ask that quesrion i got no answer,
Van Onselen close to tears in that fresh-faced manner of his. Laughing at Hawker-Britton while H-B guy on Sky (H-B the company that is, NOT Bruce Hawker).
@George
QT is scheduled for today, but Abbott will try to move a censure motion so it’ll probably be cut short.
apac is on the computer
My Say,
I am on both sites. And I drop by PoiAnimal. I think it important not to concede the field to the conservatives. That is how hey wipe out progressive voices. I will take the fight to the scum. I am not being pushed out by fiberals and having our resources destroyed.
Dickhead journo on ABC24:
“Why did it take so long?” It came across as, “I have better things to do with my time”.
Another one asked, “Did he cry?”
Wankers, the lot of them.
A resounding win…better than I imagined possible….may I say a LANDSLIDE!!!….
The biggest winning margin ever in terms of leadership challenges…..
Time for Julia to go and hunt Rabbott :)
PVO being a d. Head as usual on Sky
puff for ‘me i dont like argy bargy, . i just like quite discussion,
PB really has gone to shit lately…
dario
You said it!!!
My Say,
I understand. /but please call in from time to time, your insights and stories are really appreciated, probably more than you know.
A favor to ask please.
Can someone confirm for me that 71 -31 is still the biggest margin in a spill and 71 still the biggest vote for and 31 against ?
I think it is but I would like to have it confirmed before I rip into a few people.
Thanks in advance.
cheers.
Drio,
The conservatives are having a real go at destroying PB and Bilbo is letting fib trolls get away with highway robbery. I think when PB appeared to be having some influence the tea party scum decided it had to go. There is good reason the progressive voice in this country is weak and divided and the white-anting of PB is a classic example. If this blog gets influential, it will be on the chopping block too, make no mistake.
doyley
The commentators on Sky news said it was the biggest winning margin in history
31 the smallest vote for the challenger !
thanks again.
victoria,
thanks for that.
Just wanted to make sure.
cheers.
According to Cassidy, Rudd can’t help his mischief making. In his speech to caucus after the ballot he said he would support the PM in any challenge by a third candidate.
I think 71 is definitely the highest, but 31 wouldn’t be the lowest numerically, because the spills in the early 1900′s had much fewer people in parliament.
Proportionally though, it could be the lowest. On percentage terms, it’s 69.6% to Gillard, 30.4% to Rudd.
When there is good news for PM Gillard, Pollbludgers goes down. Do i see grassy Knoll?
PB got to the point of bludgers actually holding get-togethers, actual meetings. Then the shit attacks started. I am supposed to think that is a big fairy-floss co-incidence? Yeah right, and I have a brazillion bucks coming from a Nigerian prince!
pb has been dissapointing , but thats how the neocons work. They won’t get past the front gate here, thanks to Frank. Go the ranga!
Bowen to FM & Albo to Immigration – that will be Abott’s Nightmare

Live minutes of the House

As I said, I will not concede PB to the neo-cons without a fight. And I will support AFV. I can walk and chew gum at the same time.
That Evan2GB’s comment about Rudd sticking up Julia was disgusting. More disgusting was Bilbo didnt do a thing. i had a go at Bilbo.
