Weather here at Bradfield is still cloudy, wet, cold and gloomy.
Nossy did predict that:
Nostradamus had several prophecies for the 2012 doomsday. He predicted the 2012 doomsday to begin with several natural disasters. He also said about a planet which is suppose to hit the earth. He didn’t name the planet, but scientists named it as Planet X (Nibiru). Some ancient cultures have already predicted the end of the world to be plagued with wars and natural disasters. Even Nostradamus predicted the rise of a World War III led by Antichrist himself through quatrains; 50, 30 and 62 ……. It indicates the rise of the Antichrist from North Africa or the Middle East for destroying the Catholic Church. In the 62nd quatrain, Nostradamus puts forward the name “MABUS” as the Antichrist. According to some experts, it is possibly Obama or the Catholic pope. Well, Nostradamus’ prediction clearly indicates that something big is going to happen on December 21 2012. Are these predictions pretty accurate or just the ramblings of an old man? What you think?
Not to mention, the Mayan also got on to the act:
The year 2012 is supposed to result in a slew of natural disasters culminating in the end of the world (as we know it, or think we know it, as the case may be). We know this prediction is true because a bunch of savage, child sacrificing, jungle-dwelling Mayans2 prophesied it hundreds of years ago through their amazingly accurate calendar. Never mind that the date for Armageddon was originally set as December 24, 2011. We now know that these events will occur at exactly 11:11 GMT on December 21 2012, even though some Mayan predictions go all the way to 4772 A.D.3 Those Mayans really knew everything about astronomy, since their calendar consisted of 260-day periods, which we now know represents the true length of the solar year! According to the Mayan calendar, the “Great Cycle” equates with 5,125.36 years, which began on August 11, 3114 B.C. and ends in 2012. Unfortunately for the Maya (but maybe fortunately for us), they ended before their calendar.
Other than that i am pretty cheerful. In fact, so cheerful, i sang a song last night because i know:
your 2012 will be runneth over with love, kindness, good health and prosperity.
I am off to the Flemington Market with my good wifey to buy veges, fruits, tofus and other goodies for NY Eve Party with family and friend at Point Piper and watch the famous Sydney Fireworks.
Happy New Year to All.
