According to Shannahan, Tony’s only problem is his slogan. It just needs a little tweaking.
Never mind that Abbott has utterly failed to prevent the ALP government putting a price on carbon, nor that his is strident oath-of=blood to rescind the legislation is patently ridiculous and is even drawing criticism from the Liberal’s natural allies, Big Biz.
Never mind that he hasn’t stopped the NBN, and by the time he gets anywhere near power in this land, the ALP will have the NBN so tied up no-one will be able to stop it, nor sell bits off.
Never mind that he has tried to wreck the economy, drive up social division, stall investment and generally make everyone feel like miserable failures just because he couldn’t get what he wanted..
Never mind that the ALP government has trampled over all his oaths, blood or otherwise, to pass over 290 pieces of legislation without losing one, and without even a single successful Coalition amendment.
Never mind that he has been outwitted, outplayed and out-negotiated by a
Prime Minister holding onto power with the thinnest set of reins in the stable.
Never mind that while Tony builds a piece of wall, Gillard builds a nation.
Progressives, ALP or Green or any other moderate or leftie, this is your hour. This is your NBN and your carbon price. It is your on-shore processing with bridging visas and at least the issue of a regional approach to asylum seekers being raised. It is your 290+ pieces of legislation passed. It is your NDIS.

Also you should be able to ad pages to your blog where you can put other things, and I thought a page for links to interesting information, sites and articles would be useful. On PB all the interesting links get buried in the threads and effectively lost.
There would be a general and overwhelmingly positive consensus there on the NBN if it were not for a few Liberal shills who when they fail to argue anything meaningful about the NBN resort to Labor bashing.
I do suggest that the progressives here get onto whirlpool and get the message out.
There’s also an in the news forum (ITN) which is plagued by threads hung from news limited articles and its a cesspit of neanderthals. Worth a poke, if you’re game.
